I have first-hand experience in organically building large, engaged social media audiences. This takes time, commitment and a focused strategy, which pay off in terms of brand exposure, reach and site visits.
If you think of how people consume media, it’s no longer by visiting homepages. They click on what engages them in their social media feeds.
I strongly believe “if you build it, they will not come.” Media companies and organizations need to go where people already are spending their time, and that’s on social media.
Using this philosophy, I was a leader in The Huffington Post team that won a Canadian Online Publishing Award for Best Use of Social Media.
I also had a strategic role in building social media communities for World Vision Canada, World Wildlife Fund Canada and Today’s Parent.
Not only can I develop social media strategies, I can also execute and train staff to help build engaged audiences.
